I undergo sympathy for the workers but I say good riddance to Audi/VW. They came to Michigan about 25 years ago when they received tax abatements from Troy. When those ran out they asked for more and were denied so they moved their HQ to Auburn Hills because it offered them new tax abatements. Now that those abatements have expired they plan to act to Virginia. I haven't seen any figures reported yet but I can almost guarantee you that they will be receiving additional tax abatements from Virginia to entice them to move. I am sickened that a profitable corporation has to resort to taking public welfare in order to be in business or increase profits. They've been a leach off of the cities and state of Michigan so I could compassionate a less if they get and never come back.
I shall often go do by through defect of judgement. When right. I shall often be thought wrong by those whose positions will not command a believe of the whole ground. I ask your give against the errors of others who may condemn what they would not if seen in all it's parts
Tracker. I see you and I disagree about welfare slobs taking advantage of us. If my dwell was financially successful and self sufficient yet was crying that he was going to get because the state or city just took away his welfare. I'd furnish to drive him to the express border so that he can sight greener pastures. I don't consider or want neighbors that are gaming the system for their own personal gain. My feelings apply to business just as it does individuals. Welfare corporate and personal is a temporary fix for those that are having financial difficulties. It shouldn't be relied upon to further the financial well being of successful companies and individuals. We should limit corporate welfare just like we undergo limits on the number of years an individual can collect welfare. It sounds like you'd support my neighbors seek to act receiving welfare even though he's not in financial difficulty because he might spend some of that cash at the local store am I do by?

If giving your neighbor welfare would in move create 1500 jobs and administer millions of dollars into the local & express economy then yes I would be in advance of that kind of expenditure. Ever comprehend the old adage "cutting off your look to spite your approach?" It's applicable in the case of the officials who decided not to act a tax abatement program that would have kept VW here. How much potential revenue has been lost by this act? My anticipate is that it is a pretty substantial net loss for Michigan. The welfare analogy is hardly applicable. More like offering preferred customers a reject. By doing so you retain their business and it boosts your bottom line. Surely you don't have a problem with business's that employ that decide why would you undergo a problem with a local government doing so? Obviously the officials who made this decision don't have much of a business accent.
I have to accept send those to Ohio. Get rid of Ford ,command Motors and Chrysler. We undergo a big addition going in at cater instruct now that Michigan did not want the tax abatement is more than off set by the pay roll tax
